The Former Grand Seminary is one of the substantial historic buildings in Veszprem's castle district, built in the 1870s and later expanded in the interwar period. Its Baroque-influenced facade fits naturally into the ridge of ecclesiastical buildings around the cathedral and bishop's palace.
It is mainly an exterior stop while walking the castle district. The value is in the ensemble: seminary, cathedral, palace, gates, and viewpoints all close together on the hill.
