The favourite summer residence of the Dutch royal family from 1686 to 1975, now a national museum. William III commissioned the palace just before ascending to the English throne, and the formal baroque gardens have been meticulously restored. The summer tour takes you through over 30 rooms. The stables and the grounds alone are worth the visit.
