Lagiewnicki Forest is one of Lodz's major green escapes, a large woodland on the northern side of the city with walking paths, ponds, chapels, and a different mood from the industrial streets and brick factory complexes. It is especially useful when you want fresh air without leaving the city region.
The forest rewards slow walking more than checklist sightseeing. Combine it with nearby parks or make it a deliberate break from museums, Piotrkowska Street, and the Manufaktura area.
