The Museum of Contemporary Art is housed in a striking former Nazi-era air-raid bunker on Plac Strzegomski. The collection focuses on Polish and Central European contemporary art from the 1960s onwards, with strong holdings of the Wrocław neo-avant-garde and the political-conceptual art of the late communist period.
The cylindrical concrete building is itself part of the experience — narrow stairs spiral up through six floors, with rooftop installations that give views west over the city. Changing exhibitions are usually worth catching.
