Two of the most-photographed buildings in Wrocław: a pair of tall narrow medieval houses — one bourgeois, one a former church gatehouse — joined at the top by a tiny stone arch over the lane. The houses were originally part of the cemetery wall of St Elizabeth's Church and the arch led into the burial ground.
The pair takes its colloquial name from Hansel and Gretel in Polish (Jaś and Małgosia). They sit at the corner of the Rynek and Św. Mikołaja Street, easy to find on any walk through the centre.
