Alexander Nevsky Cathedral stands near the railway-station side of Tver, which makes it an easy first or last stop if you arrive by train. The present building is a reconstruction, but it restores a religious landmark lost during the Soviet period.
Its location is more useful than romantic. Visit if you are walking between the station and the centre, or if you want to see how post-Soviet Russia has rebuilt church landmarks into the urban fabric.
