The Old Volga Bridge is one of Tver's most recognisable silhouettes, a steel truss crossing that frames many of the classic riverfront views. It links the palace side of the centre with the quieter left bank and the Afanasy Nikitin embankment.
Cross it on foot if the weather allows. The view back toward the Travel Palace and City Garden is better than the bridge itself, and it gives a quick sense of how the city sits around the river.
