In the days of the caliphate Cordoba was supposed to have had hundreds of public baths. The modern Hammam Al Ándalus, five minutes' walk from the Mezquita, recreates the form: a series of hot, warm and cold pools in candlelit vaulted rooms, with optional massage. A 90-minute session with massage is around €40 and one of the more pleasant ways to spend an evening in the city. Book ahead.
