Islote de la Fermina is a small offshore leisure space in Arrecife's marina, reshaped in the 1970s by César Manrique and recently brought back into public use. It has the familiar Manrique vocabulary of white surfaces, water, low forms, and carefully framed sea views, but on a more urban scale than his better-known island projects.
It works best as a gentle Arrecife stop: cross over for the harbour perspective, a coffee, or a pause between Castillo de San Gabriel and Playa del Reducto. The architecture is restrained rather than spectacular, but it shows how Manrique's ideas could soften even a working port city.
