The municipal market is a working market for Arrecife residents rather than a tourist attraction — modest 20th-century building on the inland side of the old town, open mornings from Monday to Saturday. Stalls sell fresh fish from the local boats, Canarian cheeses, papas negras (the black-skinned potatoes), tropical fruit, and the local gofio flour ground from toasted grain.
A 30-minute browse is enough; combine with the Charco de San Ginés around the corner.
