Levante is the more active and more densely developed of Benidorm's two main beaches, running for just over 2 km along the eastern arc of the bay. The sand is fine and golden, the water clear, and the beach is equipped with full services: sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, lifeguards, showers, and a line of chiringuitos (beach bars) along the promenade.
The promenade behind the beach — Paseo de Levante — has shops, restaurants, and cafes. Water sports operators rent jet skis, pedal boats, and offer parasailing from the beach. The beach gets very crowded in July and August, particularly mid-morning to late afternoon; arrive early if you want space. The northern end, near the yacht club, is slightly less packed than the middle section closest to the old town headland.
