Terra Mitica is a large theme park on the hills above Benidorm, themed around five ancient Mediterranean civilisations: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, and the Islands. Rides and shows take you through encounters with the Cyclops, Ulysses, the Minotaur, and Egyptian river cruises. It is worth a visit if you are travelling with children, though the park has had a chequered financial history since it opened in 2000 — check ahead that it is still operating before making plans around it.
