Torre de les Caletes is a ruined coastal watchtower on the Sierra Helada side of Benidorm, part of the chain of lookout points once used to watch for raids along the Valencian coast. The tower itself is fragmentary, but its position explains the whole system.
The walk up is the real reward: sea cliffs, views back to Benidorm's dense skyline, and a sudden reminder that the resort sits in a much older Mediterranean landscape. Go outside the hottest part of the day and bring water.
