A small Edwardian shopping arcade with a vaulted glass roof and decorative faience tiling, off Grey Street between Market Street and Grainger Street. Built in 1906 on the site of an earlier Central Exchange that had burned down, it is one of the prettiest pieces of early 20th-century commercial architecture in the city.
Half a dozen long-term tenants — a tobacconist, a sweet shop, a music shop — occupy the units. Walk through it as a shortcut between Grey Street and Grainger Market, then look up at the tiles.
