Sudbury Community Arena

The Community Arena opened in 1951 as a memorial to local war dead and remains the home of the Sudbury Wolves, a popular Ontario Hockey League team. Catching a Wolves game on a Friday or Saturday in winter is one of the best ways to feel the city's working-class side: noisy, friendly, and fully committed to hockey.

The arena also hosts concerts and the occasional travelling show. Tickets are easy to get and cheap by big-city standards. The building itself, low and unfashionable, is on the modest list of original Memorial Cup venues.
