Camelback Mountain is a massive 1,400-foot peak that overlooks the city. It gets its name from its distinctive hump-like shape. The mountain offers vertical red cliffs that advanced climbers tackle, and a wide variety of wildlife lives in the area, including snakes, lizards, squirrels, and birds. The two main trails, Echo Canyon and Cholla, are steep and demanding but reward you with sweeping valley views from the summit.
