The downtown indoor arena where the Phoenix Suns (NBA) and Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) play. The Mercury have won three WNBA championships, and the Suns have been a fixture of the Western Conference since 1968. The 17,000-seat arena also hosts concerts year-round and the occasional Disney on Ice run.
The arena is a five-minute walk from Chase Field, the light rail Jefferson and Washington stations, and a cluster of bars that fill up before tip-off. Tickets at the upper levels are reasonable; courtside is what you'd expect. The Suns season runs October through April, the Mercury May through September — there's nearly always a game on if you happen to be in town.
