Polynesian Cultural Center

The Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie is one of Oahu's big paid attractions, but it is more interesting than the phrase "cultural center" might suggest. Recreated villages introduce traditions from Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Fiji, Aotearoa, the Marquesas, and Rapa Nui, with demonstrations, canoe rides, and evening performances. It is polished and commercial, but still a useful place to understand how wide the Polynesian world is.
