The Cosmopolitan opened in 2010 with the design ethos of "a hotel for people who are tired of Vegas hotels". The result is a property that feels closer to a contemporary big-city hotel than to its themed neighbours — minimal lobby branding, modern art everywhere, balconies on most rooms (a rarity on the Strip), and an Identity Tribute Portrait Wall that displays guest photos in real time.
The three-storey Chandelier Bar is the signature space and a destination in itself: each level has its own cocktail menu and the whole structure is wrapped in crystal strands. The 100,000-square-foot pool district stacks across the upper floors and includes a Marquee Dayclub. Restaurants on the property include Eggslut, é by José Andrés, and Momofuku — the dining lineup is genuinely strong even by Strip standards.
