Located inside Mandalay Bay, Shark Reef focuses on predators and dangerous marine life. The centrepiece is a 1.3-million-gallon shipwreck tank with a 20-foot acrylic tunnel that puts you face-to-face with sawfish, giant rays, and over a dozen shark species. The rest of the exhibits cover everything from Komodo dragons and crocodiles to jellyfish and piranha. There is a touch pool where kids can handle small sharks and rays.
It is one of the better non-gambling things to do on the Strip, especially with children. Allow about an hour. Tickets are cheaper if you buy online in advance.
