From their famous home in Miami Beach, the crabs have arrived in Vegas!

The food is wonderful and service is professional. It's not cheap, but boy is it tasty.

Joe's is a mix of steak house and seafood restaurant. Located in the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace, on the Las Vegas Strip, it is a great place for steaks, a variety of seafood selections and, of course stone crabs.

The restaurant has three seating areas; the 'courtyard', where you can watch the mall traffic while dining, the bar area with small, high top tables and chairs and the inner dining room, expansive with its dark wood trim feeling like an upscale Chicago steak house.

The wine list is pricey, but a good selection of all types to fit most budgets.

The food is excellent. I've sampled seafood selections from wild salmon, swordfish and lobster, but the big attaction is the stone crabs. These delicacies, normally found in South Florida and Caribbean waters are available year-round. The stone crab claw is the only part of the shellfish that's offered. Joe's offers three sizes of stone crab claws, with costs per claw increasing with size (up to $10 each for the largest). They come with the shell cracked, so all you have to do is pick off the shell and experience the wonderful flavor inside.

Everything at Joe's is a la carte. The scalloped and au gratin potatos are amazing. Rich, flavorful and bordering on decadent, these should not be missed, along with the sauteed spinach.

If you're partial to key lime pie, I highly recommend the offering at Joe's. It's the BEST I've eaten north (and west) of Marathon Key. Creamy, smooth and tart, the key lime is superb and the graham cracker crust is simply wonderful.

All in all, a trip to Joe's is an experience worth the price.
