High Roller

550-foot observation wheel at The LINQ Promenade

Address 3545 S Las Vegas Blvd

The High Roller is the giant observation wheel rising over the LINQ Promenade, between The LINQ and Flamingo casinos. The 28 glass cabins are large enough to walk around in — each can hold 40 passengers — and the half-hour ride circles slowly enough that you can take in the whole Strip at a leisurely pace.

Buy tickets for after dark to see the Strip lit up; daytime rides give better views of the desert and mountains beyond the city but the casinos themselves are most spectacular at night. Open-bar "Happy Half Hour" cabins exist if you want to drink your way around. Lines move quickly and you board cabins on the move, theme-park style.

A story
At 550 feet, the High Roller was the tallest observation wheel in the world from its 2014 opening until Dubai's Ain Dubai overtook it in 2021. Each cabin holds up to 40 people; a single revolution takes 30 minutes.
