Casa del Corregidor

One of Puno's oldest surviving colonial houses, now a cultural centre and café

A 17th-century colonial house in the historic centre, half a block from the Plaza de Armas on Jirón Deustua. The Casa del Corregidor is among the oldest surviving civic buildings in Puno, with thick adobe walls, a central courtyard, and original wooden beams.

It now operates as a cultural centre with rotating exhibitions on regional history, a small library, and a popular café in the courtyard. A good stop for a coffee and a sit-down after walking the centre, especially in the cold afternoons.
