Vadodara's headline attractions are clustered in two places: the Laxmi Vilas Palace complex south of the centre, and Sayaji Baug park to the north. Both can be done in a single full day, with the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum and the Baroda Museum each deserving a couple of unhurried hours. The university quarter and the old city around Mandvi Gate are pleasant to wander between visits.
