Bakresvara Temple

Bakresvara Temple is one of the smaller, quieter shrines in Bhubaneswar's old sacred core. It is usually dated to the late Ganga period and follows the familiar Odia temple arrangement of a jagmohan and vimana, but with relatively restrained exterior carving.

It is worth adding to a temple walk around Lingaraja, Vaital Deul, and the smaller shrines nearby. Do not expect the scale of Bhubaneswar's major monuments; the value here is in seeing another piece of the dense temple landscape.
