The Museum of Tribal Art and Artefacts is one of Bhubaneswar's most worthwhile museums because it broadens the city's story beyond temples and classical architecture. Its displays focus on Odisha's many Adivasi communities, using tools, ornaments, textiles, ritual objects, and reconstructed houses to show cultural diversity across the state.
The museum is especially useful before travelling into western or southern Odisha, where many of these communities live. Even if you stay only in Bhubaneswar, it adds important context to the state's art, markets, festivals, and material culture.
