Nageshwar Temple is one of the many older Shiva shrines that make Bhubaneswar feel less like a city with a few monuments and more like a living temple field. It does not have the scale of Lingaraj or the sculptural fame of Mukteshwar, but it adds depth to the old-town circuit.
The best way to see it is with other nearby temples, moving slowly and noticing the repetition and variation in Odisha's temple architecture. As with all active shrines, be modest about photography and follow local cues around access.
