Ekamra Kanan Botanical Gardens gives Bhubaneswar a green pause between temple visits and city traffic. The park is known for its cactus collections, broad lawns, and plant displays, and it sits close enough to central neighbourhoods to work as an easy half-day break.
It is not as essential as the old temple precincts, but it rounds out the city well if you are travelling with children or want somewhere slower. Go in the cooler parts of the day, when the gardens are more pleasant for wandering.
