Fakhreldin Restaurant

Fakhreldin is Amman's grandest traditional Lebanese-Jordanian restaurant, operating from a converted 1950s villa near Third Circle since 1975. The mezze table here is elaborate — thirty or more small dishes arriving in sequence before the main courses — and the quality is consistently high. This is where Jordanian business lunches happen and where families bring guests they want to impress.

Prices are high by local standards but the experience — the villa setting, the formal service, the serious cooking — justifies them. The kibbeh and the lamb dishes are particularly good. Reservations are usually necessary for dinner.
