A smaller and more relaxed alternative to Osh Bazaar, Orto-Sai is the everyday market for the southern half of the city. The food halls are particularly good for fresh produce, dairy and bread; the dried-fruit and nut stalls compete on quality with those at Osh.
Less aimed at tourists, more aimed at home cooks. Easy to spend an hour walking the rows. A small food court at the back serves cheap and good shashlik and laghman.
