A modern ceremonial yurt and small visitor centre on Chuy Avenue, intended as a snapshot of traditional Kyrgyz nomadic life for visitors who will not make it into the countryside. The yurt is set up year-round with full traditional interior — felt rugs, embroidered cushions, low table, kymyz bowls — and short demonstrations of komuz playing or shyrdak felt-making are sometimes laid on for tour groups.
Useful primarily as a 30-minute primer if you are short on time, less so for travellers who will spend any time in a real yurt camp at Song-Kul or Tash Rabat.
