F-7 is the most central of the well-off residential sectors — a 2 km square laid out between the diplomatic enclave and the Margalla Hills. Its commercial heart is the Jinnah Super Market, which has been the city's main shopping and eating centre since the 1970s. Walk-able streets, mature trees and a long row of mid-range restaurants make it the easiest sector for a visitor to spend time in.
The British and US embassies are immediately to the south in F-6 and the trails into the Margalla Hills start at the north edge. The sector also contains the Gol Market — a small circular plaza with cafes — and a long string of mid-range and upmarket shops.
