Pakistan Museum of Natural History

Address Garden Avenue, Shakarparian

The Pakistan Museum of Natural History is the federal natural-history collection — geology, palaeontology, botany and zoology — housed in the same Shakarparian complex as the Islamabad Museum and Lok Virsa. The highlight is the dinosaur gallery, with a cast of the Pakistani sauropod Khetranisaurus and fossils from the prolific Balochistan formations.

A good wet-weather option, particularly with children. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 9.30 to 16.30; closed Mondays.
