Lake View Park sits on the north shore of Rawal Lake and is the most child-oriented of the Islamabad parks — boating, pony rides, a small zoo, a Ferris wheel, a chairlift, paintball, archery and a gauntlet of food stalls. It is busy at weekends with families from across the twin cities.
Entry is by ticket. Avoid Saturdays if you don't like crowds; weekday mornings are pleasantly quiet. The setting on the lake, with the Margalla Hills as a backdrop, is genuinely scenic.
