Bahay Nakpil-Bautista

1914 art-nouveau heritage house tied to the Katipunan revolution

A block from the church, this 1914 mansion is one of the finest surviving examples of pre-war Manila domestic architecture, its facade carved with art-nouveau and Filipino motifs. It once sheltered Gregoria de Jesús, widow of revolutionary Andrés Bonifacio, and now holds a small museum on the Katipunan and old Quiapo.
