Yongkang Street's best-known dessert shop — and arguably the place where the mango shaved-ice Taiwan dessert went global. The signature mountainous bowl is shaved milk-ice piled with great chunks of fresh mango, panna cotta, mango sorbet and condensed milk; in winter the menu rotates to strawberries, tangerines, or lychees as the seasons dictate.
The shop is tiny, the kitchen is open behind a counter, and there is always a queue out the door. A bowl is enough for two or three to share. The newer flagship branch a block away (also under the Ice Monster brand) has more seating and a larger menu.
