The 51-metre city tower dates from 1450 and offers the best panoramic view of Innsbruck's Old Town and the surrounding mountains. The climb up the narrow staircase is worth it for the perspective on just how tightly the city sits between the Nordkette to the north and the Patscherkofel to the south. A good first stop to get your bearings.
