Former Church of the Saviour

The Former Church of the Saviour is a Gothic-style Lutheran church built in 1899 with support from Baku's German community. Its pointed arches and decorated portal stand out from the city's more familiar Islamic, Caucasian, and oil-boom architecture.

The building now serves as a concert hall, so visitors usually see it from the outside unless an event is scheduled. It is still worth including on a central Baku architecture walk.
