The Ismailiyya Building is one of central Baku's most theatrical early 20th-century facades. Built in Venetian Gothic style for a Muslim charitable society, it now houses the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, so the visit is mainly an outside look at its arches, stonework, and corner towers.
