Propsteikirche St. Trinitatis is Leipzig's main modern Catholic church, dedicated in 2015 near the New Town Hall. Its dark porphyry exterior is deliberately restrained, so at first glance it can look more like a civic building than a church.
The interest is architectural: a contemporary church built into the centre of a city better known for older Lutheran landmarks. Step inside if it is open; the plain exterior gives way to a calmer, more obviously sacred space.
