Schiller House is a modest literary museum in Gohlis, north of central Leipzig. Friedrich Schiller stayed here in 1785, and the house is associated with the period when he worked on the poem that later became the basis for Beethoven's "Ode to Joy."
The visit is small-scale, with period rooms and exhibits rather than spectacle. It is a good fit if you are already exploring Gohlis or tracing Leipzig's music and literary history beyond the most obvious central sights.
