Dionysiou Areopagitou Street is the great pedestrian walk below the southern slope of the Acropolis. It links the area near the Temple of Olympian Zeus with Thiseio, passing the Acropolis Museum, the Theatre of Dionysus, and viewpoints toward the Parthenon and the ancient Agora.
It is one of the simplest pleasures in Athens: a traffic-free route through the city's deepest historical landscape, best early in the morning or near sunset when the marble catches warmer light.
