Getting There

Paros sits in the centre of the Cyclades and is one of the best-connected islands in the group. All ferries dock at Parikia.

From Piraeus (the main port of Athens), conventional ferries take about five hours; high-speed catamarans make the crossing in under three. There are also sailings from Rafina, the secondary Athens port near the airport, which is a shorter crossing.

During summer, frequent services connect Paros to Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini, Ios, Tinos, Syros, Amorgos, Koufonisia, and several other Cycladic islands. Longer-distance ferries run to Samos, Rhodes, Crete, and Thessaloniki. Paros also has a small airport with domestic flights from Athens.
