Timiou Stafrou, the Church of the Holy Cross, is one of the larger churches on Thira, with the blue-domed Cycladic profile many visitors come to Santorini hoping to see. The first church here was built in the 19th century and rebuilt after the 1956 earthquake.
It is not as famous as the cliffside churches of Oia and Fira, but it is a handsome stop if you are exploring the southeast of the island around Perissa and Agios Georgios.
