Santorini's main draws are its volcanic landscape, ancient history, and the dramatic caldera views. The cliff walk from Oia south to Fira is one of the best ways to take in the island — a 10 km trail along the caldera rim with sweeping views the whole way. The ancient site of Akrotiri is a genuine highlight: a Bronze Age city frozen in time by the Minoan eruption, with multi-storey buildings, frescoes, and drainage systems still visible.
