Hauszmann House was the Budapest residence of Alajos Hauszmann, the architect whose work helped shape the late-19th-century look of the city. He designed the three-storey house himself in 1892, using the eclectic historicist style that was fashionable in Budapest at the time.
It is not a major sight on the scale of Buda Castle or the riverfront monuments, but it rewards an architecture-minded walk through the Buda side. Pair it with the Castle District and the lanes of Vizivaros below the hill.
