I Gesuati, formally Santa Maria del Rosario, is an 18th-century church on the Zattere in Dorsoduro. Its bright interior and ceiling paintings make it a rewarding stop for visitors already exploring the Accademia, Punta della Dogana, or the southern waterfront.
The church is smaller and less crowded than Venice's headline sights, but it offers a polished Baroque contrast to the city's older Gothic and Byzantine churches. It is easy to combine with a walk along the Giudecca Canal.
