Mala Plaža — Small Beach or City Beach — is the main town beach, tucked beneath the walls of the old citadel. It is small, sandy, and usually crowded in summer, but its position directly below the old town makes it one of the most atmospheric spots on the coast: you swim with the medieval walls rising above you and the minaret of a mosque visible on the headland.
The beach has cafes, sun loungers, and changing facilities. It fills up quickly in July and August; arrive early or head to Velika Plaža if you want more space. The water here is calm and clear, sheltered from the open sea by the headland.
