Pasha's Mosque

The Pasha's Mosque is one of six mosques in Ulcinj and one of the most visible landmarks in the town centre. Its minaret rises above the rooftops and can be seen from the sea. The mosque dates from the Ottoman period and remains an active place of worship, reflecting Ulcinj's majority-Albanian Muslim population.

Visiting outside prayer times is generally possible. The mosque is a reminder that Ulcinj's character is shaped not just by its geography and history but by its demographic distinctiveness within Montenegro — this is not the Slavic Orthodox world of most Montenegrin towns, but a community with deep Albanian and Islamic roots.
