Svač is a ruined medieval town inland from Ulcinj, where stone walls, church remains, and rough paths sit above the surrounding fields. It feels different from the coast: quieter, drier, and more archaeological than beach-town Montenegro.
The site is best for travellers who like ruins with atmosphere rather than heavy interpretation. Wear decent shoes, bring water, and let the visit be about the landscape as much as the surviving masonry.
